What is max3 internet?

max3 internet is a broadband service for both business and residential users with a connection speed up 100 Mbps for both download and upload. As of 1 July 2009, current max3 internet service is available at 20 Mbps.

How fast is max3 internet?

max3 internet is the fastest Broadband Internet service in the market today. The connection speed for both upload and download is 20 Mbps. Connection speed is between your home/office location and our SuperPOP serving your location. Actual download and upload speeds will vary based on numerous factors, such as the condition of wiring at your location, computer configuration, Internet and network congestion, and the speed of website servers you access, among other factors. Speed and uninterrupted use of the service are not guaranteed.

What is connection speed? How is it different than throughput?

Connection speed is the speed that data is transferred between your computer and our SuperPOP during your initial connection to max3 internet service.
Throughput speed refers to the rate that information is transferred to and from your computer. "Download" or "downstream" refers to the speed at which you receive data from the Internet. Examples of receiving or downloading are reading a Web page, downloading a program, or receiving email. ”Upload" or "upstream" refers to the rate that information is transferred from your computer to the Internet. Examples of sending or uploading are sending email or files.

What affects my connection speed?

When you connect to the Internet using max3 internet, the speeds that you will experience will vary based on a variety of factors, including the following:

  • Configuration of your computer
  • Networking configuration, number of computers and other networked equipment using the available bandwidth at the same time
  • Network or Internet congestion
  • Server and router speeds of the website you access
  • Condition of the wiring at your location

Can I share max3 internet service among several PCs?

You can share max3 internet service using Broadband Router device that support PPPoE. For installation instruction for Broadband Router, please see Support.

If I have wireless enabled notebook, can I connect with max3 internet service?

In order to connect your notebook to max3 internet service, you need to use Wireless Broadband Router to do Internet sharing.

Can I have host a web page?

max3 internet does not include with any Web Hosting service. You can get this service by subscribing to Biznet Web Hosting service.

How many email accounts come with my max3 internet service?

max3 internet Service does not include any email accounts. You can use your existing email or free mail from Yahoo, Google or others.

How will I know when my max3 internet service is ready?

Your max3 internet service will be up and running after you complete the registration and service plan selection process on the day of your installation.


Coverage Area

Is max3 service available on my phone line?

Eligibility for max3 service is based on your service address, not your telephone service. max3 uses new Fiber Optic cable, not using your existing copper phone cable. Biznet/max3 technician laid Fiber Optic in front of my house/office recently. When will I be able to get max3 service?

Laying Fiber Optic in your neighborhood is just one step in bringing you the latest Triple Play Service. Seeing us in your neighborhood is a good sign we will be offering max3 service soon, but the exact timeframe varies on the other work still being completed. Make sure you are on our mailing list by qualifying your email, phone number or address.

I'm an existing max3 service customer and am moving. How can I keep my max3 service and account?

Equipment and Networking

What equipment is needed for max3 Triple Play Service?

As part of your max3 service, we will provide you with Optical Network Terminal (ONT) similar like modem in the old days. ONT provides conversion from Fiber Optic transmission to Ethernet UTP cable.
To share Internet connection, you can use Broadband Router or Wireless Broadband Router.
To use max3 Phone service, you need an IP Phone.
To watch max3 Television, you need IPTV-STB (Set Top Box).
Note: In some apartments or buildings, the ONT will be installed in a central location within your building, not inside your home/office.


Installation

What's involved in the max3 service installation process?

When you place your order for any of max3 service, you are required to purchase and pay max3 Starter Pack. After that, we will schedule an appointment time for a max3 technician to come to your home/office to conduct the installation process. When we visit your home/office for installation according to the schedule, if the person in charge or assigned person is not available so we cannot do the installation, then you are required to reschedule appointment time with max3 care. You also required to pay the rescheduling fee.

Depending on your location, we may need to bury the new fiber optic cabling from our area terminal to your home/office. This will typically take place prior to your installation date, and you are not required to be present for this portion of the installation.

On the day of installation, in most home/office, our technicians will need to install a Drop Cable and Optical Network Terminal (ONT), typically on the outside and inside part of your home/office if one doesn't already exist.

In some apartments or buildings, the ONT may be installed in a central location within your building, or it they may be installed inside your home/office.

How long will it take to install my new max3 service?

Installation time can vary based on a number of factors, but we recommend that you reserve about two to four hours for the max3 technician to complete the installation of your max3 Service during the installation day. To schedule for installation day, it will take maximum 10 (ten) working days.

What is included with the professional installation?

The professional installation for most home/office includes installation of Drop Cable and Optical Network Terminal (ONT). The technician will also install any required wall jacks. Depending on your home/office layout, the technician will install data wiring through the basement or attic, or along baseboards. Upon arrival, your max3 technician will review the installation process with you.

If you order max3 internet service, we will also activate your max3 internet service, configure your primary computer or Broadband Router (optional). Additional configuration fee for other computers will be charged as stated in the Starter Pack.

Is it possible to relocate existing max3 Service to a new home/office that within max3 Coverage Area?

Yes, it is possible if your new home/office located within max3 Coverage Area, but you are required to purchase new Starter Pack and follow new installation process for this new location.


Billing System

How does the billing system in max3 service?

All of max3 Triple Play Services (Internet, Phone and Television) are prepaid service. You are required to purchase max3 Top Up Voucher to credit your max3 Account, then select appropriate Plan suitable for your requirement and budget. This prepaid account can be used to purchase other Value Added Service, which can be ordered via max3 Web Self Care Website (wsc.biznetnetworks.com).

Is there a refund with max3 service?

No. We do not provide any refund for service or Top Up Voucher purchased. If you plan to cancel your account, you also required to return the Optical Network Terminal (ONT) and any other equipment we have given you within 7 (seven) days of cancellation to avoid being charged an equipment fee.

How do I see charges for max3 Service?

You can see all the charges thru max3 Web Self Care Website (wsc.biznetnetworks.com). We will not send you any printed invoice or statement for this service.

If I want to move max3 Service to a different plan where I still have remaining time for the current plan, will I get credited for unused time?

If you move to a new plan, your account will not be credited for unused time. We recommend changing your plan when the current plan expired or almost expired.
